# Migrate from Legacy Handheld to OPSCOM Enforce Handheld App

<p class="callout warning">Before you say goodbye to the old app on any device, make sure to complete a full sync so all your tickets are safely pushed up to the Admin portal</p>

1. **DOWNLOAD THE APP**
    
    
    - Tap the Play Store app on the device's main screen to open it.
    - Tap the search bar and type **OPSCOM Enforce** or **OPSCOM**.
    - Tap the **OPSCOM Enforce** application icon from the search results to access the store page.
    - Tap the Install button to begin the download process.
    - Tap Accept on the settings pop-up window to grant the application access to required device integrations.
    - Tap the Open button directly within the store once the installation completes, or return to the device's home screen and tap the newly created OPSCOM app shortcut.

1. **REGISTER THE APP (ADMIN)**
    
    
    - Login to the Admin Portal
    - Under Violations, select Handheld Devices

1. - Click on the **Add New Device**
    - Fill in the UUID (from the running Enforce App) -&gt; select **Production Server** for Sync Width -&gt; Give your device a name and leave the rest settings

1. - Click on Add Device to register the device

1. **COMPLETE THE APP CONFIGURATIONS(Back in the running Enforce app)**
    
    
    - Click on Refresh button to sync and complete the configuration
    - Accept the permissions and login

**HANDHELD CHALKING AND LPR CONFIGURATION**

Click on the hamburger menu ![](https://opscom.wiki/uploads/images/gallery/2026-09/embedded-image-s12pbmoh.png) at the top left corner and select App Settings

1. Enable Auto-Chalk
    
    
    - Under Violations and Chalking, check the Auto-Chalk Vehicles
2. Add the LPR cameras 
    - Under the LPR Camera Settings, add the IP addresses of the cameras
    - Use Scan Network or Enter Manually to add the IP address of the cameras (Eg. 10.42.0.11, 10.42.0.12, etc)
    - Select the direction of the camera(Left or Right)

**TEST THE LPR SCANNING**

- Select the LPR SCANNING from the home icons

1. - Confirm the connection status and start scanning some plates
