Locker Switch

TheThis article describes the Locker Switch optiontool, which allows administrators to changereassign a user to a different locker or swap locker assignments between two users. Its primary purpose is to provide a clear workflow for managing locker changes due to user requests, maintenance needs, or other administrative requirements. This guide is intended for OPS-COM administrators.

Using This Feature

This tool is a standard feature within the locker thatmanagement ismodule associatedand withdoes not require any specific configuration. The tool relies on existing locker and user rental information being present in the system.

The Locker Switch tool allows for two distinct actions: moving a particularsingle user.user to a new locker (Switch) or exchanging lockers between two users (Swap).

Quick Steps:
  1. Hover over Locker Management and click Locker Switch.

  2. SelectIn the Old Locker section, select the Locker Area and Old Locker Number, andfor confirmthe locker being changed. Verify that the correct user.

  4. Choosename is displayed. In the New Locker section, select the Locker Area and New Locker Number, thenfor clickthe destination locker. Choose one of the two action buttons based on your goal:

    • Switch Old to New: orClick this to move the user from the old locker to the new locker. This is typically used when moving a user to a vacant locker.

    • Swap Old with New.

    • OnClick this to exchange locker assignments between the confirmationuser page, add comments if needed and click Switch User Locker.
    • The Locker Information Updated page will appear.
Step by Step Instructions:       

1.   Navigate to Locker Switch: Hover over the Locker Management icon. Click on Locker Switch.

2.   Select Locker Details:

·   In the Old Locker Area, choose the correct location forof the old locker and the user of the new locker.

· Select the Old Locker Number and verify that it is associated with the correct person.

·   Now, select the New Locker Area and New Locker Number.

·   Click Switch Old to New to change the locker assignment or click Swap Old with New to exchange lockers between two registered users.

3.   Confirm the Change:

·   You will be directed toOn the Locker Switch Confirmation page.

Best Practices & Considerations

  • Carefully choose between the Switch and Swap functions. Selecting Swap when the new locker update.
