Setting Up a PL8RDR (OnLogic)

Follow these steps to set up a new OnLogic computer for use with OPS-COM as a PL8RDR.

Part 1: Installing the OS

  1. Before powering it on, make sure the following are plugged into the computer:
    • monitor
    • keyboard
    • mouse
    • external hard drive containing OS image
    • USB flash drive containing Clonezilla
  2. Power on the computer. When the OnLogic logo displays on the screen, push Delete to enter the BIOS settings.
  3. Go to Boot Manager, and choose the option corresponding to the USB flash drive containing Clonezilla.
  4. Clonezilla will start. AsWhenever youyou're proceedprompted throughto make a choice during the installation process, youwhich willoption encounterto several prompts. Each time a prompt occurs, the correct actionchoose has been listeddocumented below, in order:
    1. Leave as default: Clonezilla live (Default settings, VGA 800x600)
    2. Leave as default: en_US.UTF-8 English
    3. Leave as default: Keep the default keyboard layout
    4. Leave as default: Start Clonezilla
    5. Leave as default: device-image
    6. Leave as default: local_dev
    7. Press "Enter"
    8. Press "Ctrl-C"
    9. Choose the external hard drive to be the image repository: ~930 G
    10. Choose directory for the image repository:

Part 2: Setting Up the SIM Card

  1. Go to the portal.
  2. Copy the settings of a working SIM card from another client's setup.
  3. Put the SIM card into the PL8RDR.
