Appeal Evidence Uploads Overview

The Appeal Evidence Uploads feature enhances the user experience and streamlines the violation appeals process by allowingallows users to directly uploadattach supporting evidence,files, such as images and text documents, to their violation appeals. ThisIts eliminatesprimary thepurpose need for usersis to send evidence through separate channels and centralizescentralize all appeal-related information within the OPSCOMsystem, system. 

How does this Work?

This feature integrates directly intoeliminating the existingneed appealfor submissionadministrators workflow.to Whenrequest aand usertrack submitsevidence anthrough appeal,separate theyemail willchannels nowand havestreamlining the option to attach supporting files. These uploaded files are then securely stored and displayed on the administrator's appeal review page, providing immediate access to all relevant evidence. This significantly reduces the time administrators spend contacting users for supporting documents and streamlines the appealoverall review process.

Setup &and Configuration

To use this feature, administrators must ensure both the core appeals module and the specific evidence upload setting are active within the system settings.

  1. Hover over over System Configuration, and click click System Settings.Settings.

  2. On the 

    Click the Violations Violationstab, ensuretab.

  3. Ensure the Enable Appeals Module Modulesetting checkbox is enabled. (If it is not,not available, please contact contact support@ops-com.comcomcom).

  4. Enable the Enable Appeal Evidence Uploads should be enabled if you want userscheckbox to beallow ableusers to submit files as evidence for their appeals.

Default Settings and Limits: The evidence upload setting is enabled by default.default

  • for organizations using the appeals module. Users can upload multiple files per appeal.
  • Supported file types include JPG, PNG, and PDF.

    Using this Feature

    This feature seamlessly integrates directly into the existing appeal submission and review workflows for both users and administrators.

    Administrator Experience

    When an administrator accesses a submitted appeal through the standard appeals report or violation information screen, any attached supporting files will be securely displayed directly on the review page. This provides immediate, centralized access to all relevant evidence without needing to search through external emails or documents before recording a decision.

    User Portal Experience

    When a user submits an appeal through the public portal, they will be prompted with an intuitive option to attach their supporting image and text files in one single submission.     • Prompt Review: Always review the attached evidence before making a final appeal decision. Because the documentation is now centralized, administrators can resolve disputes faster and with greater accuracy, improving the overall relationship with your user base.

    • Data Security: All uploaded files are securely stored within the OPS-COM system and onlyare strictly accessible only by authorized personnel. administrative personnel handling the appeal. You can assure concerned users that their submitted evidence is handled with strict confidentiality.
