Archiving and Restoring Permits
LotThe AllocationArchiving and Restoring Permits feature allows youadministrators to remove permits from a given lot's active inventory without permanently deleting them from the system. Its primary purpose is to help efficiently manage lot allocation by safely archiving unused or seasonal permits and easily restoring them when they are needed again. This article is intended for OPS-COM administrators.
Setup and Configuration
There is no specific system setup or configuration required to use this feature. Archiving and restoring permits is a standard administrative tool available to users with the appropriate lot and permit management permissions.
Using this Feature
Administrators can use the allocation tool to seamlessly archive existing permits or restore permits in any given lot. Permits are removed through archiving. Archived permits are not permanently deleted and can be restored from theirpreviously archived state.ones.

Hover over Parking Management
thenLot Administrationand clickAllocate. Locate the lot you wish to archive/restore permits for.ClickArchive Permitsand Choose eitherSelected Permitsto archive a portion of the permits orAll Permitsto archive them all.Select the permits you wish to archive.ClickRemoveand confirm withRemoveagain.To restore permits clickAdd Permits To Lot.Choose individual permits or a range (TL2-01 to TL2-05).ClickAdd Permitsthen confirm by clickingAdd Permitsagain.Wait for the completion popup.

Hover over Parking Management and click Lot Administration then Allocate.

Completion Message: A popup message will confirm thatLocate thearchivingspecificprocesslotis complete. Check the Lot: Refresh the list of permits. You’ll see that TL2-01 through TL2-05 have been removed from the lot.Add Permits Back to the Lot: To restore permits,and clickonthe Add Permits To Lot.button.-
ChooseEntera Method to Add Permits: You can add permits back either individually or as a range: To individually add permits type theindividual permitnumbernumbersindirectly into the Permits textbox.box,Tooraddgenerate a range byrange addentering the prefixand, postfix,(if any) then addand the starting and ending sequence numbersfor(e.g.,example 01-10 would add permits 101 to10.10). -
StartClick theProcess: ClickAdd Permits button to begin the restoration process. -
Click the
ConfirmationAddMessagePermits:Abutton on the confirmation popup to finalize the restoration.
Best Practices and Considerations
Restoration Messaging: When restoring a previously archived permit, the confirmation popup will appear.explicitly Noteindicate that the message will indicate the permits are "restored,restored" rather than "created." notThis "created,"verifies asthat theythe weresystem previouslyhas archived.successfully pulled the existing permit data from the archive.

Verify Inventory Changes: Always refresh the list of permits after completing an archive or restore action to visually confirm that the targeted permits (e.g., TL2-01 through TL2-05) have been successfully removed from or added back to the lot.

CompletionBulkMessageArchiving Caution::AExercisepopupcautionmessagewhen choosing the All Permits option, as this willconfirmimmediately queue every permit within thatthelotrestorationforprocessremoval.isEnsurecomplete.no active user permits are inadvertently caught in a bulk archive sweep. Check the Lot: Refresh the list of permits. You’ll see that TL2-01 through TL2-05 have been restored.
