Ticket Printing (Legacy) - Zebra Printer Configuration (Android Only)

Setup and Configuration

The setup process involves installing the necessary applications, configuring the printer's settings using a dedicated utility, and finally connecting the printer within the OPSCOM Parking Enforcement app.settings.

Note:Application Permissions Every time a pop-up window appears asking for permissions (e.g., Microphone, Camera, Location access,access), you must choose Always or anything else) you MUST choose Always or While Using App,App. orIf these permissions are denied, the appapplication will not work properly.

Step 1: Application Installation

Before configuring the printer, you must install the required application on your mobile device.

  1. Power on your Zebra printer.

  2. Navigate to the Google Play store on your Android device and install the OPSCOMOPS-COM Parking Enforcement app.

  3. (Note:

If you already have the OPSCOM Parking Enforcement appapplication installed, you must uninstall and then reinstall it to ensure a clean setup and prevent potential connection issues.)

Step 2: Connect to Bluetooth

  1. Open System Settings on your device and enable Bluetooth if it is not already enabled.active.

  2. ClickTap Scan on the devicedevice, then tap and then hold down the feed button on the physical printer until the Bluetooth symbol appears. OnceRelease the button once it appears youto can releaseput the button. This puts your printer into discoverable mode. 

  3. ChooseTap your printer name (or printer serial number) from the list of available devices and clicktap Pair.Pair.

    Compare the pairing code on the Android screen to the one printed,printed hitby Pair.the printer, then tap Pair on the popup to confirm.

Step 3: Connect to OPSCOM Parkingthe Enforcement App

  1. Open the OPSCOMOPS-COM Parking Enforcement app and log in.

  2. Tap the Menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner and selecttap System Settings.Settings.

  3. Scroll down to the Printer Settings section.

  4. EnsureTap the Printer Driver is set to Zebra. If not, tap the drop-down menu and selectchoose it.Zebra.

  5. Tap Saved Bluetooth Printer.Printer Theto prompt the app willto scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.

  6. SelectTap your specific printer from the list of discovered devices.

    Advanced Media Settings Configuring specific printer settingshardware settings, such as media size, rewind handling, and orientation, can be done through the separate Zebra Printer Setup Utility found on the Google Play Store.

    • One-TimePerform Setup:a one-time setup per device pair: Remember that this configuration must be performed for each unique combination of a mobile device and a Zebra printer.

    • Maintain Bluetooth Range:range: For a stable connection, ensureEnsure the mobile device remains within the effective Bluetooth range of the printerprinter. (typicallyFor arounda stable connection in the field, keep the devices within approximately 30 feet / (10 meters). of each other.

    • TroubleshootingTroubleshoot Connection:connections efficiently: If you experience printing issues, firstalways verify that the printer is powered on.on Re-first. If it is on and charged, re-selecting the printer from the App Settings > Saved Bluetooth Printer menu within the application settings can often quickly re-establish thea dropped connection.
